たします足しますtashimasu	to add
2に 3を たすと、5に なります。Ni ni san o tasu to, go ni narimasu.If you add three to two, you get five.
ひきます引きますhikimasu	to subtract
10から 3を ひくと、7に なります。Juu kara san o hiku to, nana ni narimasu.If you take three from ten, you get seven.
かけます掛けますkakemasu	to multiply
3に 4を かけると、12に なります。San ni yon o kakeru to, juuni ni narimasu.Three times four is twelve.
ちょくせん直線chokusen	straight line
かみに ちょくせんを かいて ください。Kami ni chokusen o kaite kudasai.Please draw a straight line on the paper.
きょくせん曲線kyokusen	curved line
この みちは きょくせんが きれいです。Kono michi wa kyokusen ga kirei desu.This road has beautiful curves.
てんせん点線tensen	dotted line
てんせんの ところを きって ください。Tensen no tokoro o kitte kudasai.Please cut along the dotted line.
えん円en	circle
かみに えんを かいて ください。Kami ni en o kaite kudasai.Please draw a circle on the paper.
さんかく三角sankaku	triangle
さんかくの サンドイッチを つくりました。Sankaku no sandoicchi o tsukurimashita.I made triangle sandwiches.
しかく四角shikaku	square
しかくの テーブルを かいました。Shikaku no teeburu o kaimashita.I bought a square table.
もよう模様moyou	pattern, design
この シャツの もようが すきです。Kono shatsu no moyou ga suki desu.I like the pattern on this shirt.
たてじま縦じまtatejima	vertical stripes
たてじまの シャツを かいました。Tatejima no shatsu o kaimashita.I bought a shirt with vertical stripes.
